Brazil's adhesion to the IPv6 protocol is currently at around 20 percent, according to the project director of NIC.br, the executive arm of the Internet Steering Committee in Brazil, Milton Kaoru Kashiwakura. Speaking at the Abranet Convention, he said that Brazil is above the world average on this issue, but in order for the IoT to happen, it will be necessary for 100 percent of the network to be in IPv6.

Kashiwakura added the large content providers already make their information available in IPv6.
